Find mental
health support at
Or visit us at Shop 7 (Ground Floor), 14 Childers Street, Canberra City.
Our Centre is located on the eastern edge of the Australian National
University (ANU), it is in close proximity to bus stops on Rimmer Street
and Marcus Clarke Street.
We are open for walk-ins on Monday, Tuesday and Friday (8.30am to
4.30pm), Wednesday (10.30am to 6.00pm) and Thursday (1.30 to 4.30pm)
(closed public holidays).
Sometimes finding the
support you need can
seem overwhelming.
Rather than jumping straight into a service that might not suit you, it can be helpful to talk to someone who can guide you to the right kind of support you need.
We are a free service to help people in the Canberra community. You don’t need to make an appointment or present a referral or Medicare card. Request a call, call us, or walk in and have a chat.
We take the time to understand the challenges you’re facing and help you today, tomorrow, and one day at a time.
Head to Health Canberra will help you find the right service for your needs. We can help you by reaching out to services in the area that best suit your needs or goals, and collect service information so you feel confident connecting with them when you are ready.
Connecting with us is easy:
Request a call, call us, or walk in to chat to one of our mental health professionals
We take the time to understand the challenges you're facing, and assess your mental health and wellbeing
We can recommend the next steps, which could be:
- We may be able to offer support services with our psychologists and other mental health clinicians, depending on your needs
- We can refer you to appropriate support options – and help you to navigate the complex world of mental health support services
- We can provide you with useful online resources so you can direct your mental health journey at times that suit you
With your consent, we will keep your primary health care providers (i.e. your GP) in the loop to ensure continuity of your care. Our mental health professionals will check in with you along the way, to ensure you feel supported.
